Richard G. Fessler, MD, PhD, a neurosurgeon on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and professor of Neurosurgery at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, is transforming the way scoliosis patients are treated by offering a minimally invasive surgical approach. Watch Dr. Fessler perform a live, minimally invasive scoliosis surgery.

Program Objectives

During this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the patients who are candidates for minimally invasive scoliosis surgery.
  • Describe the techniques used during the procedure.
  • Cite the benefits of minimally invasive scoliosis surgery compared to traditional scoliosis surgery.
