The program will provide a synopsis of recent and relevant high-impact issues in IBD for clinical gastroenterologists, internists and family practitioners caring for patients with IBD.
Program Objectives
After attending this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Recognize a patient with IBD
- Determine whether to refer a patient with IBD to a gastroenterologist or surgeon
- Discuss the diagnostic procedures for IBD
- Discuss the medical therapies and surgical procedures available for patients with IBD
- List IBD complications and their management
- Discuss the psychosocial issues involved in caring for patients with IBD
Accreditation
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation
