Flamm, MD The program will provide a synopsis of recent and relevant high-impact issues in gastroenterology and liver disease for clinical gastroenterologists, hepatologists and physicians who manage patients with gastrointestinal and liver disease. Each topic will include a series of high clinical impact abstracts presented during Digestive Disease Week 2009. A short question and answer session will be available. Program Objectives After attending this educational activity, participants should be better able to: Recognize new concepts in gastrointestinal disease pathophysiology and clinical presentations and be able to appropriately incorporate new treatment options in the clinical care of their patients; Recognize advances in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal disease; Review advances in the treatment of chronic liver disease and its sequelae.
